Effect of Noninvasive Ventilation Delivered by Helmet vs Face Mask on the Rate of Endotracheal Intubation in Patients With Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome A Randomized Clinical Trial

Perhaps the high failure of NIV in patients with hypoxic failure has been because we are doing it wrong!
Although this study is a single center study, the fact that it was stopped early for efficacy supports the idea of a multicenter study.

Now if only manufacturers in North America would get a license to sell these masks!
